Professor Jinshyang Roan graduated from Louisiana State University in 1994 with a Ph.D. in Operations Management. After graduation, he joined the Department of Business Administration at Soochow University, where he held various positions, including deputy chair and chair of the Department of Business Administration, director of the International Business Program, and dean of general affairs at Soochow University. He is currently the Dean of the School of Business. Professor Roan's research and teaching interests include quality and inventory management, network analysis, and supply chain management. He has published papers in renowned academic journals such as Decision Science, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, and European Journal of Marketing. Besides his teaching at Soochow University, he has also taught at Purdue University in the United States and Soochow University in Mainland China. Moreover, he has offered short-term courses at several prestigious universities across the U.S., Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Europe. Professor Roan is a Fulbright Scholar from the United States. He has served many years as a reviewer for research projects and tenure promotion cases at Kuwait University and Zhejiang University. Additionally, he has held various positions in Taiwan's public and private sectors, such as exam committee member, lecturer, reviewer, and independent director.
