Dr. Jei-Zheng Wu is a Distinguished Professor of the Department of Business Administration of the School of Business and Director of the School of Extension Education at Soochow University (SCU), Taipei, Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. and MS in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from the National Tsing Hua University in Hsinchu. He received the BS with double majors in Business Administration and Mathematics from National Taiwan University. His professional experience includes Adjunct Associate/Assistant Professor at NTHU, Yuan Ze University, Postdoctoral researcher at NTHU, and co-op at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center (Yorktown Heights, New York). He received Mr. Lu Feng Zhang Memorial Medal from the Chinese Management Association, Quality Paper Award from the Chinese Society for Quality, Award for Distinguished Performance on Industry-Academia Collaboration from National Science Council, Outstanding Researcher Scholarship from National Science Council, Research Award from Soochow Business Administration Education Foundation, Research Publication Prize from Soochow University, the Best Paper Award at the Twelfth Asia Pacific Industrial Engineering & Management System (APIEMS 2011, 2022), the Best Paper Award at the CIIE Annual Meeting (2011 and 2010), and the Young Scientist Prize at the Intelligent Manufacturing & Logistics Systems International Conference in 2008. He joined the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society in 2001. Dr. Wu served in a number of academic societies. He was the President of Society for Excelling Enterprises and Decisions (SEED) and currently serves as the standing board member. He also serves other positions, including a Standing Board Member and former Vice President of the Association of Continuing Education of Colleges and Universities in Taiwan, a Standing Board Member of Operations Research Society of Taiwan (INFORMS Taiwan Chapter), a Board Member of Asia-Pacific Industrial Engineering & Management Society (APIEMS), and Board Member of Soochow Management Academia Foundation. Added to these, he was also the co-principal-investigator of the Artificial Intelligence for Intelligent Manufacturing Systems Research Center (AIMS) of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of Taiwan. Dr. Wu’s main research interests include multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM), operations management, supply chain management, decision analysis, meta-heuristics, and decision support systems. Dr. Wu has published research outcomes in SCI/SSCI–indexed journals, including Applied Soft Computing, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Energies, OR Spectrum, IEEE Transactions on Semiconductor Manufacturing, International Journal of Logistics Management, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, International Journal of Shipping and Transport Logistics, Growth and Change, Expert Systems and Applications, Mathematics, Processes, and other international journals including Industrial Engineering & Management Systems (IEMS) (Scopus) and NTU Management Review (TSSCI/Scopus) and Journal of Quality (EI). He has served as the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Operations Research (www.orstw.org.tw/ijor/index.html) and the Area Editor of IEMS. He also served as the Guest Editor for a number of journals including Flexible Services and Manufacturing Journal (SCI), International Journal of Industrial Engineering: Theory, Applications and Practice (IJIETAP), Processes, and Journal of Quality (EI).
